Adulting is hard, and other things.

Hello World,

It’s been some time since we last spoke.

I was in the heat of training my butt off to get in the best shape of my life, eating healthy, and making positive lifestyle choices.  Well, at this very moment the only thing I’m positive of lately is how difficult these past few months have been.

Training has been ultimately nonexistent, eating healthy, and... lets just say Krispy Kreme and salted caramel mochas aren’t exactly what I originally had in mind.

I’m going to be completely honest “adulting” is HARD, balancing 3 littles, working a full time job, and keeping up with the house. I know life doesn’t come with an instruction manual, most of the time, we are flying by the seat of our pants just to make it by.

Seriously, the older I get the days, scratch that, the minutes just seem to fly by faster and faster. I don’t know how all “those” mothers do it.  You know the ones, all of their children always perfectly put together, perfectly pressed clothes and beautifully done hair and makeup.  Meanwhile, I’m over here hitting the snooze button for the 8th time in a row mumbling to myself “just five more minutes.”

As with every morning that comes, we are met with the anticipation of starting a new day. Yes, today. Today this will be my “day” I think to myself, rolling out of my bed with grace, hair pulled back, a hint of yesterday’s makeup on my flustered face, and some mystery stain on my shirt left by tiny little hands. While chugging down the burnt cup of coffee that had been sitting on the burner since my husband left for work some hours ago.

In the midst of the holiday season, I have successfully made it through two holidays.

Now, I just have to somehow manage to make it through remainder of the year so flawlessly without any kind of major disaster before the New Year.

I'm hoping with the New Year, I can find some kind of balance with our hectic schedules. With that said, here is what I'm wanting to accomplish in the New Year:
  • Get back into a healthy routine
  • Find balance
  • Stress less
What are your New Year resolustions and hopes?
